The Finale - Seagrove, Florida

Days 3, 4 and 5 were spent  getting massages, shopping, eating and beaching it out.  I apologize in advance for the photos, or the lack thereof.  Any woman knows that shopping requires your full attention...no cameras allowed.  However, Tila and I decided to snap a quick one to start the day.

My lovely aunt decided that we needed a little girl time.  So, she booked us all a massages! Who can say no to that?? While the ladies were at the spa, the men were.....well, who knows!  The massage was amazing.  I'm always so tense so having someone beat my back (literally) just makes my heart smile.  Weird? I know, but it feels sooo good. When I grow up I'm going to get weekly massages :)  After our massages, we walked across the street to a few small stores.  One store in particular, sold magnets. Let me tell you, we spent forEVER reading and laughing at these magnets. Some were totally inappropriate but on so funny.  Here's one of my favs!

You go girl...and take those tacky shoes with you

After browsing a bit, we headed back to the house.  To our surprise, the men were firing up the grill! Who loves some grilled food?? This girl does!! To kill time, we decided to take a walk to the beach...again...in the cold...you get my point.  It was still cold, but we are self proclaimed gangstas so we braved it.

This little boy LOVES the beach

Look who decided to come down... toboggan and all lol. It was too cold, he didn't stay for long.

Well, all good things must come to an end.  Our vacation was grand.  Spending time with my family was priceless.  We packed our bags and headed our separate ways.  One crew headed to Corinth, one headed to Starkville and one headed to Jackson.  As soon as we touched down, we went to pick up our furry baby, Sophie. Oh how we missed her! The minute we walked in she could barely contain her excitement.  Mama and daddy didn't abandon me afterall!

Apparently she played all week...oh Sophie, you always amaze me.

By nightfall we were all snuggled into our beds, preparing for a relaxing weekend before heading back to work on Monday.  Seagrove, thank you for an amazing family vacay.

Day 2 - Seagrove, Florida

Ok, so this is really like day 2.5. The first day we didn't do much so I combined both days.  Anyway!

So, I told yall it was pretty chilly the entire week we were in Florida.  BUT, you can't go to the beach without going to the b.e.a.c.h.  So, we decided to test the water...literally.

I've never met anyone that loves the beach more than me...until I met Braxton. This little boy will stay in water all.day.long...no matter the temperature.  I don't understand. But hey, if he likes it then I love it.

Tila is truly the photographer of the family so she brought her camera down for a mini photo shoot. When I say photo shoot, I really mean pictures of she and I.  I guess no one else likes pictures...go figure?! But, they take them just to make us happy!  I guess that's why they refer to us as Drama Queen 1 & 2. We gladly accept those titles...just be sure to give us a crown :)

It's funny how protected I feel while in this man's arms.  I guess taking his last name means I'm trusting him with my life, right? Besides, my dad always tells him that if we go on a trip and something happens to me, he better not come back hahaha! So yea, I definitely feel protected.

Soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Joey Sanders

If you notice, Keitra, Creston and Chandler are not present in these beach photos.  Of course, CB is only a month old so they stayed in the house. But please know, he enjoyed his first trip to the beach...or should I say, Florida.  What can I say, shopping will definitely wear a little boy out!

Chandler Hill Burse

Family time is truly the best time. We usually take yearly vacations, but it's rare that we ALL get to go since our schedules vary.  I could not have asked for a better week.  Shout out to these two...no idea what I would do without them.  I pray that when Braxton gets older, he realizes that he really has the best mom ever.  My mom will drop everything to ensure that her children are happy.  Her love is truly unconditional.

After returning to the house, we ate and settled in for a game of Taboo.  Each time we play, our rules are always the same; guys against girls...and the girls always win.  Of course, they guys always accuse us of cheating, but what we can say? We are just good like that! Besides, how can you blame us for knowing each other so well? For example, one word was 'Target'. My clue was "I went here yesterday to buy a swimsuit". My mom and sister went with me so they automatically knew the answer.  That is NOT cheating..it's simply using your knowledge to get ahead...isn't that was life is all about? Ha!!

Day 2.5 was a blast.  After Taboo the girls prepared for bed while the guys hung out upstairs.  Shortly, we were all sound asleep in preparation for Day 3.

Day 1-Seagrove, Florida

For spring break, my family packed up and headed to Seagrove, Florida.  To say this vacation was much needed (for everyone) is an understatement.  My aunt, Rosilin, found this beautiful six bedroom house.  It was amazing and made for such a relaxing week!

We had a private pool, which would have been great if we had 80-90 degree weather.
It was more like 50-60...uhhh yea. Nonetheless, we had the luxury...and enjoyed every minute of it.

After getting settled into the house, our stomachs began to growl. If there's one thing you know about us...we turn into monsters when we get hungry.  So, we headed into Destin for dinner at Fudpuckers. Afterwards, we walked over to the arcade area for a little fun.

Oh come on...try it. It's not that hard :)

Mr. and Mrs. Sanders :)

Absolutely LOVE this picture of my cousin, Tila and Mamaw

This looks like the face of someone who is about to get his head knocked off in bumper cars.  Tila is down there smiling, but ask her if she had that same smile after a few collisions.  Haha! I seriously thought Rosilin was going to have to revert to Dr. Wright and treat my injuries as a result of whiplash, but I made it through! #soldier

Mom and Braxton playing Fruit Ninja

It was nice to escape "reality" and be a kid again.  We played fruit ninja on the giant screen, shot up zombies, played basketball, and raced cars on the race track.  Now, I'm not one to brag, but let's face the facts...I'm #1...always :) Now that I've made that clear I can honestly say I did win in race cars.  Haha!  I passed everyone on the track, but "they said" it was due to a malfunction with their cars. ::blank stare:: You and I both know the truth. All Hail Queen Toy!

My Aunt Rosilin and her husband, Leroy

I'm not sure what Joey was doing, but he was serious.  I chose not to interrupt him ...

So, after a day of driving, eating, watching the alligators and "playing", we headed back to Seagrove to catch the sunset and prepare for another wonderful day.

Stay tuned for pt II of day 1
