Going Dutch?

Sooo...this morning I read an article about relationships and "splitting the bill". It immediately sparked my interest and tah-dah...it's today's topic.  My question to you is..........does a male ALWAYS have to pay? What's my opinion?...I'm glad you asked.  I may be in the 20-25% of women that say this but I don't think so.  If you are in a steady relationship with mutual respect for one another...what's wrong with me picking up the tab every once in a while?  It's not like he wouldn't or couldn't do it, it's just sometimes I think we (women) can/should show our appreciation (if you have a good man).  Yes, I do think relationships should be 50/50, so why should he pay for dinner, pay for the movie,  pay for any other activities....that adds up! Now if you guys are casually dating and he asks to take you out, sure, I think he's obligated to pay.  As a matter of fact if he didn't I would probably never go on a date with him again.

Although I feel as though I should pick up the tab sometimes, I have a boyfriend that rarely lets me do that.  When I say rarely, I mean RARELY.  He doesn't care if it's happy hour at Sonic...he insists on buying.  Sometimes we will both hand the waiter/waitress our card, forcing them to take one or the other.  When we depart, Joey asks         1) Gas in ya tank?   2) Food in ya stomach?   3) Money in ya pocket?
And those are the reasons I do not mind picking up the tab when we go out.

MY OPINION SO DON'T SHOOT ME...I think some women are so use to give give giving that they forget how to sit back and let a man do a man's job.  I agree, it can be quite difficult, especially if you've always been the one giving in the past.  But I do believe at some point you will realize what and who is good for you and you will begin see things in a whole new perspective.  I'm no love expert...I just come across different things and feel the need to discuss them.  I would be delighted if whomever is reading this would leave me your thoughts.

Insomnia

HAIL STATE! Although it was a nail biting game, we pulled it off! We definitely have to step it up for Georgia this week.  Congrats to our DAWGS.
 I had such a great time at the game! Joey's family had a tailgate so I arrived in the junction Saturday morning.  It felt great to be back in the midst of fellow bulldawgs!

Since the game wasn't over until later, and I wasn't feeling 100%, we decided to stay in for the night.  I don't think I've told you guys, but I suffer from a moderate (slightly severe) case of insomnia. I diagnosed myself.  Anyway, we had our feet kicked up, sportscenter on, and next thing I know......Joey was knocked out!  Of course, I'm wall watching because I can't sleep.

 He looked so peaceful I didn't want to wake him but I was miserable. So I gave him a little nudge and said "Joey, I can't sleep." His response (after 2-3 nudges) "oh.....ok". I'm like great, that didn't work.  After another hour or so of wall watching, I nudged him again. I said "Joey, you're gonna hurt your neck laying like that...do you want one of these pillows?" Again, I don't know why I insist on making conversation while he's sleep.  His response "Babe, that pillow is for you to lay your head on." ::blank stare:: I'm like yeaaaaaaa uhhh I know.  After hours of staring into darkness like a psycho woman, he finally rocked the little baby to sleep :)

Now last night was a different story.  I was back in Jackson and alone...couldn't sleep....miserable, yet again.  I decided to cut the tv on and watch an episode of Bridezillas (if you were up at 3am plzzzz tell me you saw it). 4am...I still couldn't sleep so I walked across to the guest bedroom...why? I have NO clue!  On my way back to my room, I heard something and stopped...it was Keitra.  So imagine me standing and the top of the stairs at 4am just looking. I bet I freaked her out! HAHAHA! All she said was "What are you doing?"...and then I heard her door shut.  I'm thinking "I'm wall watching...what are YOU doing?"  I finally fell asleep around 6am and woke up at 6:45a.m.
Yes, I'm about to fall asleep typing this post......if it's all over the place, blame it on insomnia.

Maybe I'll get more sleep tonight and I'll post with some sense tomorrow!

Randomness

Sooo, what's up?! Another day, another dollar!! You know what today is?? You guessed it! MAROON FRIDAY!!!!! I'm so excited about going to God's Country tomorrow....after all, doesn't he favor Starkville?! Ready to see the dawgs pull a victory over LA Tech.  Family, food, friends, and football....what more can a southern girl ask for?
My week has been pretty good! I had to work at Charming Charlie last night.  Some  psycho woman came in.  I won't describe her---might be a relativer of yoUrs :) Anyway, she nearly turned the store upside!.. acting crazy over a few dollars! But that's neither here nor there and I didn't lose any sleep last night soooo kbye!  Then there was a woman who literally sat in the floor and started looking at the jewelry she had just purchased.  I said "Ma'am, can I help you with something?" Her reply, "Oh no, thanks; I'm just waiting on my daughter to finish looking." Like seriously?! You're a grown woman and you're gonna sit in the FLOOR and "play" with your jewelry until your daughter finishes?!..forreal forreal?...oh ok then girl!

Enough of that.  Early this week I said that I felt as though I've been attacked...I'm so serious!  I'm itching soooo bad.  I know that sounds utterly disgusting but it's like my arms/legs. I have no idea what's going on so I'm scheduling an appt asaptually.  I've never been allergic to anything (that I know of) and I haven't used any different products so I have no idea what's going on.  Maybe someone sprinkled itchy dust on me...or perhaps they put voodoo on me! (See how my mind wanders).
On a lighter note, I'm getting a relaxer today! Whooooo I'm so excited because this head is full of naps!  I told Joey I was going to get a Boosie fade and what was his reply "It's your head miss....I don't care if you Amber Rose-it out, I'm still going to love you!" Isn't he a sweetheart?! I know I know :)

Well, surely I've given you guys enough randomness for today.  This weekend should be filled with more random events so I'll keep you posted.....
